Enjoy the Farm

I've been spending so much time lately fighting for the farm, I've forgotten to actually ENJOY the farm...

So that is what I did all day yesterday. Meandered around with the girls documenting their day. We're up to about 30 chickens various breeds. All laying and getting approximately 15 eggs a day. The Milkers though are drying up. The weather just took it's toll. From the extraordinary heat of the summer, to Isaac, to excessive rains, to this latest cold front. They weren't scheduled to dry up till January. We're still milking but its just .... futile. The weather also created a bit of a dilemma as a couple of the girls were supposed to kid this past week and didn't. Might have some down time. First time in 3 years.
