Yard antics...

I was trying to get a picture of a lovely cardinal male the other day. Although i never got the shot i wanted for him, two other neighbors showed up. I could be wrong in what they are, but the woodpecker i think is a red-bellied woodpecker. And I think this is a corn snake. Very small only 12 inches. What was so interesting was that the cardinals were also in the palm tree where is shot the snake. They were just watching each other. Snake stayed in that tree for 2 full days. And must have moved off last night. I wonder who was defending who's territory.
